NBA 2K22's cover athletes have been revealed in their entirety by 2K Sports. The release of NBA 2K22 is just around the corner.
Luka Doncic, a global phenomenon, and two-time NBA All-Star grace the Standard Edition and Cross-Gen Digital Bundle, while a trio of the NBA's most impactful big men – Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Dirk Nowitzki, and Kevin Durant – appear in a premium, NBA 75th Anniversary Edition, showcasing how each of these athletes changed the game of basketball.
Its visually stunning presentation and player artificial intelligence, as well as its historical teams and diverse hoops experiences, allow NBA 2K22 to place the entire basketball universe in the player's grasp.
A new set of NBA 2K22 Player Ratings & 1st Look Screenshots has been released by 2K Sports, highlighting the top-rated players from across the league, in addition to eye-popping images of the players in-game.
Luka Donic (94), Kevin Durant (96), Steph Curry (96), Giannis Antetokounmpo (96), Khris Middleton (88), Jrue Holiday (85) and Nikola Joki (95) are among the first NBA 2K22 Player Ratings to be revealed, with many more to be revealed on social media throughout the day on August 18.
There will be three editions of NBA 2K22 this year, all of which will be available in both digital and physical formats: the Standard Edition, a Cross-Gen Digital Bundle, and a special NBA 75th Anniversary Edition: the NBA 2K22: NBA 75th Anniversary Edition.
Standard Edition will be available for $59.99 on previous-generation platforms (PS4, Xbox One consoles, Nintendo Switch, and PC) and $69.99 on new-generation platforms (PS5 and Xbox Series X|S); The Cross-Gen Digital Bundle ($79.99) will grant players access to the Standard Edition across previous- and new-generation platforms within the same PlayStation and Xbox consoles; NBA 2K22: NBA 75th Anniversary Edition ($99.99) will include the NBA 2K22: NBA 75th Anniversary Edition and the NBA
It is included in both the Cross-Gen Digital Bundle and the NBA 75th Anniversary Edition for the PlayStation 4/PS5 and Xbox One/Xbox Series X|S platforms, and it allows players to play a different version of the game on each console generation within the same console family. It is only in the EMEA region that the NBA 75th Anniversary Edition for Nintendo Switch will be available in digital form.
This year's NBA 75th Anniversary Edition pays tribute to three of the league's most iconic big men, all of whom have made significant contributions to the league's evolution over the past seven decades:
Basketball legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, a Hall of Famer, six-time NBA Champion and six-time MVP, and all-time leading scorer in the NBA, is still influencing the game today, from his patented Skyhook to his social activism;
Known as the prototypical sharpshooting big man, Dirk Nowitzki is a 14-time All-Star, two-time NBA Champion, and two-time MVP who represents not only the global expansion of basketball but also the evolution of the game itself;

Kevin Durant, an 11-time All-Star, league MVP, and two-time NBA Champion, is a legend in his own right and is well-known for his one-of-a-kind presence on the court. He will appear on the cover of NBA 2K for the third time.
Featuring cover artwork painted by Atlanta-based artist Charly Palmer, whose work in fine art is characterized by complex compositions as well as a distinct technique and style, the NBA 75th Anniversary Edition and Cross-Gen Digital Bundle are available for purchase now. A national exhibitor, Palmer is best known for his "Civil Rights" series of paintings and compositions titled "America Must Change," which was featured on the cover of TIME Magazine in July 2020. Palmer's work has been exhibited throughout the country.
There is a special edition of the Standard Edition available exclusively through GameStop and EB Games in North America, which features six-time WNBA All-Star and WNBA Champion Candace Parker on the cover and is only available through GameStop and EB Games. As the first female cover athlete in the franchise's history, Parker's appearance marks a watershed moment for NBA 2K. The inclusion of the Chicago Sky star on the cover of NBA 2K is the latest step in the company's ongoing efforts to include more female characters in the game. Japanese players can also purchase a special version of the Standard Edition that features Washington Wizards Rui Hachimura, a rising star who was the first Japanese player to be drafted in the first round of the 2019 NBA Draft and the first Japanese player to reach the NBA Playoffs in the same season.
NBA 2K22 will also receive a slew of additional announcements from 2K over the next few weeks, including first looks at new features, the release of the game's soundtrack, live service updates, and more. Currently, all editions of NBA 2K22 are scheduled to be released worldwide on September 10, 2021, and they are all available for pre-order right now.
