Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been criticized for having repetitive character dialogue, but Sable, who is often overlooked, is an exception.

Nintendo's Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been available for a few months, and players have begun to realize that most of the characters in the game are rather 2-dimensional, animal crossing new horizons bells with the exception of Sable, the workaholic hedgehog who sews her life away at the back of the Able Sisters store. Even though the primary focus of most Animal Crossing: New Horizons players is to decorate their own virtual islands and homes with various cutesy knick-knacks, the villagers who live on the island have grown to be very important to them as well. Each character has a distinct personality and aesthetic, but it appears that the writing has been stretched thin among a large cast of characters that the majority of people will never have the opportunity to fully experience. Not only is Sable present on every island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, but she is also a more interesting character than the rest of the villagers combined.

Since the release of the first Animal Crossinganimal crossing new horizons bells on the Nintendo 64 in Japan (and the GameCube in the rest of the world), the villagers who lived in the in-game towns have been considered integral to the overall experience. After spending a significant amount of time fishing, reorganizing their homes, ACNH Bells, and purchasing anything cheap ACNH Bells from the store, players would frequently stop to chat with their Animal Crossing villagers. Not only are the villagers entertaining to converse with, but they also occasionally offer tasks and jobs that reward players with new items or money.

New Horizons continues this tradition, but the villagers have less interesting things to say this time around. In previous installments, there were plenty of villagers in Animal Crossing who were quite nasty, and would even go so far as to insult the player for their clothing or decorative choices, for example. They may have been less pleasant in the literal sense, but it resulted in far more cheap Animal Crossing Bells dialogues with the characters than what is available in New Horizons. Characters in the Switch installment fall head over heels in love with the player and constantly repeat the same ten lines. Their distinct personalities have faded into the background, and community favorites such as Raymond are remembered primarily for their physical appearances and little else.

Calming Bathroom Interior Build | Animal Crossing New Horizons

Why Sable Is Different in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Sable is not a typical villager in the Animal Crossing franchise, but rather an NPC with whom the player can interact at the Able Sisters store. In New Horizons, she can be seen sewing with a great concentration in the back of the property. If she is spoken to, players will have their first encounter with rejection in the world of Animal Crossing when she requests to be left alone. However, if the player continues to frequent the store and speaks with Sable on a regular basis, she will eventually warm up to the player and the two will form a charming customer and employee relationship.

Sable begins to tell stories about her family's history,  as well as about how she raised her sisters following the tragic death of her parents. She reminisces with her sister about petty little arguments they had years ago. The most significant change in Animal Crossing New Horizons is not only the significant improvement in the network function, which allows it to be transformed into an online virtual community, and she even makes special cloths for the player to use to customize their furniture as a way of expressing her gratitude for them. Sable's change of heart towards the player makes her the most dynamic character in New Horizons, and the content of her lines is more substantial.
