The article accompanying Blueberry_404's artwork claimed that"Diablo Immoral" that the Demon Hunter was wielding "the most powerful weapon available in D2R Ladder."

However, not all D2R Ladder players agree with the sentiment. Redditor Rwxwuxiaworld recently published an in-depth analysis of the effects that items and services offered via microtransactions could have on progress on the game Diablo D2R Ladder. 

A veteran of mobile gaming, Rwxwuxiaworld looked at how much D2R Ladder's microtransactions are able to boost characters, help overcome problems, or speed the process of leveling and gearing. It was discovered that with no means to buy directly equipment or levels, a lot of the obstacles needed to be present in a true pay-to win 

scenario is not in the game-the baffling grind wall and timegates are faced in free to play as well as premium players. Rather than being the most powerful weapon in D2R Ladder. he posited that the microtransactions that were present in D2R Ladder were useless.

Regardless of one's opinion the D2R Ladder microtransaction system is the least well-known feature by far. Though the game is quite loved, its front-and center microtransactions are what have made many consider the game a scam and unneeded mobile game.
