With Air Max 270, Throughout its 36-year history, the Air Jordan 1 has told the on and off-court story of the man behind it.When Michael Jordan was a student at the University of North Carolina, he dazzled crowds with his athleticism and incredible shot making abilities. But away from the hardwood, the GOAT hooper also participated in some on-campus organizations such as the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. And in an effort to honor the fraternity as a whole, especially his beloved Omicron Alpha chapter, he’s crafting a special Air Jordan 1 High OG “Brotherhood” colorway in their honor.
Clad in hits of purple and gold, the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Brotherhood" is reminiscent of Los Angeles Lakers-related footwear the Swoosh has previously released, as well as 2020’s Día de Muertos Air Jordan 1 Mid.The former touches up the Swooshes, collars, laces, ball-and-wings logos and the overlays that neighbor the throat and wrap around the toes, while the latter is arranged onto the toe boxes, ankle flaps, tongue banners and lower heels. A crisp white hue sees its way to the quarter panels and tongues for some brighter contrasting. Downstairs, the midsoles are formatted with angelic finish while the sole units are sprayed with more “University Gold.”
Celebrating LeBron James‘ place with the Lakers, Nike is readying Nike LeBron 18 White Metallic Gold. The latest take on King James’ signature sneaker is centered around the “White/Metallic Gold/Multi-Color” home colors of the Los Angeles basketball team.Branding comes in the form of mini Swooshes at the toe, branded three pod tongue, King James motifs on the molded TPU heel counters and “23” jersey numbering printed on the insoles. Elevating the shoe is a full-length Zoom Air unit nestled within the Max Air under the heel and extends into the forefoot paired with a grid-like rubber outsole marked with diamond-shaped cutouts for weight reduction.
