For an extra 2 lb (9 kg), I replaced the factory exhaust with a performance cat. I had to modify the clutch plates, and I was forced to change the front differential. The stock driveshaft wasn't long enough, so I extended it by 2 inches (51 mm).
I put on two new front wheels, using the factory suspension mounts. I also made a little adjustment on the Yamaha 200hp steering wheel. To increase the stability of the chassis, I installed new bushings and upgraded the shocks and struts.
I also added a set of 15-inch Toyo Tires with four-pot front discs and 16-inch Toyo Tires with three-pot rear drums. The front tires were 235/35 ZR15s and the rears were 245/40ZR16s. I replaced the factory throttle cables with stainless steel lines.
I put on a set of custom stainless steel mufflers that I fabricated myself. I changed the oil and filter at 50 hours. I ran the engine dry for 10 hours after each rebuild and did a full tune-up and pressure test.
