The true master and namesake from the Herta Space Station are one of the first playable characters in Honkai: Star Rail. Herta enters combat in a single of her mechanical dolls by having an oversized hammer at hand, and she's created to throw down against categories of enemies at any given time.

Although she's overshadowed by almost every other Ice character, Herta is especially good at farming Calyxes, even though many scoff at her meager damage numbers, she's also surprisingly effective within the Simulated Universe. No matter the case, players want to get Herta the best combination of stats and effects before she will start pounding enemies to dust in Honkai: Star Rail.

Honkai: Star Rail Herta Build

Herta excels at something: dealing AOE damage. All of her abilities deal harm to every target around the field, which provides her an identical niche to Himeko. The simplicity of Herta's kit means players do not have to think much about what to build on her behalf.

The same philosophy applies when selecting Relic sets and Light Cones for Herta. Get just as much ATK as you possibly can and sprinkle in certain either CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG, based on whichever is lacking. Space Sealing Station may be the go-to Planar Ornament set for stacking ATK, with Celestial Differentiator and Inert Salsotto being the options for CRIT stats.

Honkai: Star Rail Accounts

Before Dawn may be the best Light Cone for Herta because it increases her damage overall (including her follow-up attacks). Players who don't have this Light Cone may use anything else that increases her CRIT DMG, ATK, and follow-up ATK DMG, like Birth from the Self and Geniuses' Repose.

Herta Trace Leveling Order

Herta's follow-up attack with Elation buffs in Honkai Star Rail

As far as Traces are worried, players can stay with the usual leveling order popular by other DPS units:

It's Magic, I Added Some Magic (Ultimate)

One-Time Offer (Skill)

Fine, I'll Do It Myself (Talent)

Basic attack

One thing to notice, however, is the fact that players can prioritize her basic attack over her Talent whenever they want to. This is because the second only triggers once enemies reach 50% HP or less, which makes it less reliable in battles where players can defeat enemies in single or two hits. When building Herta for that Simulated Universe specifically, then her basic attack should take leveling priority.

Along with other characters, take Herta's floating Trace nodes whenever the additional stats are essential. Make sure to stick to the same stat priorities in the above list. If you want to learn more about Honkai: Star Rail, MMOWTS.com is here and it offers honkai star rail accounts.
