Notably, the tier skips won't give quicker use of the Smoldering Ash in the free Battle Pass–these character upgrades are level-locked, so nobody will be able to spend some money to unlock them faster.

The Diablo 4 Battle Pass appears to be quite fair. Blizzard met its promises of ensuring the Battle Pass wasn't pay-to-win, all while adding optional cosmetics for players thinking about acquiring what Diablo 4 called “specific class and character fantasies” offered in microtransactions. Even so, with countless cosmetic options in Diablo 4’s transmog system, players shouldn't have any problems making a look and feel that fits their character perfectly with or without the cosmetics in the Premium Battle Pass.
