The free version includes the full RAW editor. The RAW editor allows you to edit a single clip with basic features including audio sync, trim, and effects, just like editing a video file.

The Studio version gives you many additional features. It lets you work on multiple clips at the same time and add effects, titles, and transitions to individual clips. When you are finished, you can render and davinci resolve export directly to the Web, Facebook, YouTube, or Apple TV for posting on your timeline.

There are three rendering options for you to choose from, and you can output to multiple platforms.

For example, you can export to Final Cut Pro X and deliver a fully integrated, media-ready sequence with no post-production work. The Blackmagic RAW Editor provides a powerful toolkit with which you can manipulate raw files in real time, which makes it easy to remove unwanted footage and make edits that would normally take a large amount of time and effort.

The Blackmagic Media Converter 4D is designed to handle high volume production workflows, letting you perform multiple tasks at once while simultaneously preparing clips for editing. The Blackmagic RAW Editor and the Blackmagic Media Converter 4D combine to provide a workflow engine that enables a more streamlined pipeline for digital production.
