The skill range that is available in Diablo 4 Items has also evolved. For someone who has played all Diablo games, that took some time to get used to. The options provided to players offer flexibility to adapt to their own games, yet won't leave novices confused. As I'm a Barbarian I could concentrate on dual-wielding weaponry for speedier attacks that do more damage, or choose the two-handed slashing weapon order to use a spin attack that allows me cut through massive groups of enemies. The tree looked like an attack buffet, however there was a reason to the whole thing as it did in previous Diablo games.
Like any Diablo game there are plenty of dungeons to clear throughout Diablo 4. but the game's new open world adds a layer of complexity to the gameplay. It was quite a surprise when I came across a cliff and there was an option for me to "climb down" which led me to another area that was.
While there'sn't a huge open-world like Elden Ring or The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild however it was interesting to have a broader land to explore. Previous Diablo games featured the ability to generate maps in a procedurally-generated way which were large, but very limited. While Fractured Peak was still restricted however, it did not feel like I was tied to maps. There are horses that you can purchase but only after you complete a quest that Diablo 4 Boosting is made available later.
