Normal temperature and pressure dyeable polyester (ECDP) fiber
In the process of ordinary PET polymerization, a small amount of the fourth monomer can be added to prepare the normal temperature and pressure dyeable polyester ECDP. This is mainly due to the introduction of polyethylene glycol flexible chain segment on the PET macromolecular chain, which makes the molecular structure of the fiber more loose and the amorphous area larger, which is more conducive to the cationic dye entering the fiber and combining with more sulfonic groups, so it can be dyed under the condition of boiling dyeing at atmospheric pressure. ECDP fiber has a softer feel and better wearability than CDP and PET fiber. However, due to the low bond energy of the fourth monomer polyethylene glycol chain segment, the thermal stability of ECDP fiber is reduced, and the strength loss of ECDP fiber is more than 30% at 180 ℃ ironing temperature. Therefore, special attention should be paid to the fabric made of ECDP fiber when finishing, washing and ironing.
