I think falling in love within your forties is divorced from the fantasy that you just create within your twenties. You’re so present within your love. My husband and I are together purely by choice so creating this wedding together felt easy and simple, nurturing. We got married at Burgh House in Hampstead the week before Christmas. It was very intimate because we’re blending a family group and therefore wished to make sure that all six children were the main objective. We wanted that it is like the most wonderful Sunday lunch-slash-dinner party imaginable.

I know my style – I kind of dress as being a boy – and I wished to feel like the best version of myself. From the off, I wished to wear a white shirt, flats plus a full-length veil. I made the mistake of telling friends as well as the consensus was that perhaps it wasn’t appropriate! For a moment I let myself be derailed and visited a bridal appointment, which was so much fun but I knew I wasn’t likely to put on a marriage dress. After getting stressed relating to this, I awoke one morning in September and referred to as Stacess store on Bond Street. I’d seen this 1996 re-edition from the shirt I loved and so they had gone out of my size wedding dresses near me. I headed to that area by myself. As soon as I use it I grinned and felt how I guess you’re made to feel whenever you placed on The Dress. I was beside myself.
