Because our faith is essential to us, we'd our marriage ceremony at the Church of the Holy Angels, where we attend every Sunday. We love this parish due to the warm and welcoming atmosphere, simple architectural style, fantastic priests, beautiful music ministry, and important social justice work. Our reception was outdoors inside a tent within the courtyard of the Welsh field Inn, located near our church. Not only did this venue match the relaxed natural style I was seeking, with affordable and seasonal menu options, but we also have sentimental connections for this location! Andy and I first met when I was both at the marriage party of mutual friends, who had their reception at Welsh field. Andy's parents also had their reception here! It seemed serendipitous once they had availability in September.

Our wedding was built with a colorful vintage theme. I knew I desired to shop for my dress in an amazing shop in Cleveland run by a local fashion-school grad and extremely kind individual: Miranda's Vintage Bridal. After I picked a gown in the late 1950s/early 1960s that Miranda thought was inspired by Grace Kelly's wedding gown, we started gravitating towards a classic theme overall. Andy's suit would be a three-piece tweed from Walker Slater, a nod to traditional British style. My family and I love antiquing, therefore we all pitched in and spent summertime sorting through antique markets and our very own homes to locate old books, silver trays, candle holders, rustic boxes, vases, and much more to add to the decor. I am additionally a huge fan of bright colors, and marigold yellow is a that I thought would fit with the gorgeous Ohio maple trees which are ablaze within the fall while being a bit unexpected and unique for that season. It is this type of happy color, they fit in so well using the joy from the day -- and that we ended up finding it throughout, in the inn where we've got ready towards the park where we took our wedding party portraits. We ensured to source several colors within our flowers to help keep the palette intriguing and connect the yellow with the darker autumn hues of the season.

It was all so wonderful, it truly is hard to choose. I loved the ceremony, where we've got to soak in the real commitment I was making to each other inside a beautiful and sacred environment, which combined both traditional and private elements. It was amazing to express time-honored vows to one another and to change the service with readings, hymns, and rituals that suit our values, our spirituality, and our relationship. Andy also loved our wedding party portrait session in Century Village, a historical park in the hometown where we very often go for walks. The weather was idyllic -- sunny, cool, and crisp, the historical and rustic nature of the park fit our vibe, and we got to spend some time soaking in the giddiness from the day with one another and our closest friends. Working with our photographer, was amazing -- she became our friend and encouraged us to become comfortable and completely ourselves while quietly capturing probably the most stunning photos that captured a lot of genuine emotion.

I wanted my bridesmaids to become able to pick their very own dresses inside a style and price range that suited them -- but my buddies were having problems finding much, as autumn-toned yellows can be hard to locate -- particularly in longer lengths. Once we found the marigold hue, and I fell in love using the color swatch, everybody was happily using the dozens of affordable possibilities. I found the color to become flattering on several skin tones. It was cool to determine everyone choose a different style -- my bridesmaid even wore an outfit with a touch of white lace around the bodice to differentiate her role. It fits in well using the lace by myself dress! champagne bridesmaid dresses.
