Meet, an Art Director and Designer Jen, and Shane, who works in financial compliance. They celebrated their marriage on the 7 September 2019 at Plagne, within the South of France, where they spent their day outside taking advantage of the dreamy, late summer sunshine.

"I adored the natural, soft tones from the chateau and grounds, which was reflected within the blue bridesmaid dresses. The boys' suits were relaxed fit and a light oatmeal color having a subtle texture that suit in perfectly using the surroundings."

"My initial step was to limit the style of dress I wanted. I researched pretty much every dress designer I found on Instagram and Pinterest. I went wedding gown shopping with my mom and sisters and located some beautiful dresses, but none of these had all of the elements I wanted."

"I sat down and sketched out my ideal dress, brought it to Kathy and she or he made it a real possibility! It was honestly an aspiration come true. I loved the silhouette and fabric of the dress, it hugged in all of the right places, and am comfortable. The Art Deco-inspired embellishments added that extra touch of magic. It was built with a detachable tulle overskirt that made the gown feel so dreamy, it diffused the sunshine beautifully. I removed it for that evening also it made it much slinkier – two looks in a single!"

"Shane and I met through friends and bonded on the mutual love of music, Twin Peaks, and Harold and Maude. We've been together for many years and had many adventures for the reason that time, including traveling the planet, buying our home in 2017, and co-parenting our dog Lily. We got engaged your day after my birthday in January 2019 towards the top of Slieve League in Donegal, Ireland, and our engagement lasted only 8 months."

The couple wrote their very own vows, with Jen composing hers ahead of time, whilst Shane ad-libbed around the day and spoke in the heart. Jen has kindly shared her vows around here – thanks!

"Jen: My favorite part of the day was possibly the ceremony. The light was golden and delightful, everyone am relaxed and it had been intimate and full of love and laughter. The dinner seemed to be just so fun, the sun's rays went down once we all gathered around by candlelight and enjoyed each other's company."

"Shane: The ceremony is special. I got to not only share it with my spouse but additionally share it as soon with all our family and friends. Our good friend was the celebrant, which made it all of the more special for all of us."

As evening fell and it had been time to dance, the wedding ring (and friends of Jen and Shane) played, and also the happy couple enjoyed their first married dance together, too.

"Our song was I Only Have Eyes for You through the Flamingoes. It's a haunting love song that's an ideal tempo for any slow first dance. It's one of our favorite songs, old-fashioned and romantic. The 'shoo-ops' get us each time!"

"We planned to help keep the decor simple because the natural backdrop had been so beautiful. We had gold candelabra with pink candles, and also the floral scheme was focused around huge dahlias and eucalyptus purchased from a local flower farmer, and beautifully assembled by my talented cousin, Emily."

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"While it's fun to savor planning the details from the day, never lose sight of why you're doing the work all. What you, your lover, and your guests will remember most may be the feeling you had around the day."

"Focus your planning around the aspects you care about. For us it had been the venue, the gown, and that our guests could relax around the day and feel taken care of. We somehow managed to attain all that."
