I don't simply have one beautiful wedding venue to express today, but three, all within the North East of England. Our couple tailored their perfect day having a ceremony and drinks reception in a warm and welcoming medieval hall, then a wedding breakfast within the majestic setting of the former church. They were married on 26 April 2019 in Durham. This was then their wedding meal and a nighttime party in the Gateshead.

"Originally I was not thinking about having a videographer, and only chose to book a couple of months before the marriage, as I was concerned about feeling underneath the lens all day long, however, this couldn't be further from Dan's style. He is so unobtrusive we barely noticed him there! He is an attractive guy to be with and so talented. We loved his type of filmmaking; natural, unobtrusive, and emotive. We are within the moon using the footage and that we are so pleased we'd him capture our day."

Kate looked sensational in her dress, chosen in Newcastle, using its clean and simple lines, sexy off-the-shoulder neckline, and fishtail silhouette.

"The simplicity was striking in my experience after trying on a lot of lacy and beaded gowns. I loved how bridal it helped me feel and also the hourglass shape it gave, alongside the off-the-shoulder straps and also the buttons running on the back from the train. It felt classic yet modern, and complicated yet sexy. A bit of everything! I thought it might work well across all of the different venues."

The bridesmaids wore long and pretty purple bridesmaid dresses, using their selection of footwear and fresh gypsophila within their hair.

"I made girls a little bridesmaid goody bag including a thanks card with chocolates fizz as well as their accessories – a champagne-colored pashmina, along with a pair of crystal drop earrings."

"We had champagne and Amnesia roses to match using the bridesmaids' dresses and general color palette. The bouquet also featured smaller wildflowers and stocks once we love their scent. We also featured a locket having a picture of my mum around my bouquet in her memory. I loved my bouquet a lot I hardly place it down all day long!"

Dave wore a blue herringbone suit and he and the groomsmen and Kate's dad all wore matching champagne-colored ties. Click

"We met in 2007 within our first year of studying at Newcastle University. We met inside a bar, aged 19, through mutual friends. Dave was studying Biology at the time and I had just finished my newbie Dentistry exams. We immediately clicked. It somehow felt like we'd known one another for years. We spent the whole of our twenties together; university, graduation, early work life, buying our first house together, as well as through turbulent family times."

"Dave proposed on my small birthday whilst our annual festive winter burglary in Prague in 2016. Despite being together for a lot of years, it had never really crossed my thoughts we would get engaged, and it would be a complete surprise and shock! I thought he was joking initially. When I realized he was serious, I just burst into tears and said yes. We chose to have a fairly long engagement to provide us lots of time to budget, as well as to minimize the marriage planning stress."

Kate walked down the aisle along with her dad, and chose Higher Love, by James Vincent McMorrow as her entrance music – a song with special significance to both her and Dave.

"Durham County Council sent us options for the vows. We chose vows that spoke to us probably the most and highlighted the significance of trust, love, friendship, and supporting one another throughout life's adventures."

"Jess from the set in the room for that evening do within the BALTIC, and hung navy, gold and,d white lanterns in the ceiling, in addition, to picture hoops. She also arranged a glitter station. We desired to honor past family weddings, so were built a memory table with pictures from our families' weddings, in addition to candles and photos of family members who have died. We felt it would be a nice method to honor their memory on your day."

Kate and Dave wanted an upbeat song that will also get friends and family onto the floor for his or their joyful first dance together, and thus chose Signed, Sealed, Delivered by Stevie Wonder.

"Our evening band was. We saw them live before booking them, and we loved them! Their set list would be a mixture of funk, soul, and Motown, and also got everyone up and dancing and within the party mood. At one point within the night, I turned around to determine Dave crowd surfing above a number of his friends!"

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"Try to not agonize over every small decision. Generally, just go together with your gut feeling and don't take into account the minor details. You won't notice if these aren't perfect on your day, as you will need to be overwhelmed with happiness."
