As batches of timepieces crossed the ocean and reached remote areas in the Mediterranean region, the brand's business footsteps continued to expand into wider foreign lands, successively in Brazil, Cuba and India. A sales point has been established, and the mysterious and distant China is also expected in the near future. Many 19th-century artists recorded their views of Angkor Thom in Cambodia, the Confucius Temple in Beijing, and the Chinese imperial garden Yuanmingyuan in their paintings of different styles. Ingenuity combined with innovation, three gold engraving techniques
The dial of the Loft Artisan Memorable Places watch shows a new craftsmanship that integrates multiple engraving techniques. Each dial is covered with gold, white gold and pink gold flakes, juxtaposed and combined to show different colored areas in the picture, or Layer coverage to create a sense of visual depth. Before assembling the gold sheets, the images are produced through micro-carving and line engraving processes. The hand-engraving master needs to carve on the sheets with a thickness of only 0.4 to 0.8 mm. The engraving depth must be controlled within 0.1 to 0.2 mm. It is an extreme challenge. This process requires extremely high craftsmanship, and the production of each dial requires at least 200 hours.
Under the meticulous craftsmanship of the master engraver, the relief pattern on the dial gradually takes shape, the deep scene becomes more realistic, and the vivid natural landscape emerges before your eyes. In order to add a lifelike sense of presence to the picture, the master sculptor specially used gold and silver inlay technology to decorate the meticulous scenes such as tree branches and leaves when depicting the ruins of Angkor Thom and the Royal Summer Palace in Beijing. This decorative technique involves embedding metal filaments into the engraved surface, i.e. pink gold or yellow gold filaments on a white gold base. In view of the delicate size of the dial, the creation process requires meticulous attention to detail in order to be able to skillfully cope with the slightly softer texture of the gold inlay compared to the white gold base.
