The story surrounding the multiplayer fantasy dungeon crawler Dark and Darker continues to unfold. In the midst of an ongoing lawsuit with Nexon, Ironmace, the developer of Dark and Darker, is moving forward with plans to release the game in Early Access.

After a successful beta period earlier this year, Ironmace faced a lawsuit from Nexon alleging that Dark and Darker shared many similarities with Nexon’s own game in development, P3. Nexon also claimed that a former employee leaked P3 assets to Ironmace.

Throughout the lawsuit, Ironmace has maintained its innocence, stating that Dark and Darker was developed using Unreal Engine assets and original code, not stolen P3 assets. The company also argues that Nexon’s attempt to copyright a game genre is not possible.

Despite the legal challenges, Ironmace has partnered with subscription-based gaming platform Chaf Games to release Dark and Darker. The game’s store page on Chaf Games currently has a purchase button, although it is not functioning at the moment.

In addition to the ongoing lawsuit, Ironmace faced further setbacks when its offices were raided by police in search of evidence supporting Nexon’s allegations. Shortly after, Nexon issued a cease and desist notice to Ironmace, leading to the removal of Dark and Darker from Steam due to a DMCA notice.

However, Ironmace plans to cheap Dark And Darker Gold bring Dark and Darker back to Steam in the future, as they acknowledge the platform’s importance in the PC gaming market. Despite the legal troubles, Ironmace remains determined to deliver their game to players and continue development.
